We have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what's possible.As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Consumer & Community Banking, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job responsibilities:Applies technical knowledge and problem-solving methodologies to projects of moderate scope, with a focus on improving the data and systems running at scale, and ensures end to end monitoring of applicationsResolves most nuances and determines appropriate escalation pathExecutes conventional approaches to build or break down technical problemsDrives the daily activities supporting the standard capacity process applicationsPartners with application and infrastructure teams to identify potential capacity risks and govern remediation statusesConsiders upstream/downstream data and systems or technical implicationsMakes significant decisions for a project consisting of multiple technologies and applicationsAdds to team culture of equity and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skills:Formal training or certification on infrastructure engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experienceDemonstrated experience managing or operating applications in public cloud at scale with a strong emphasis on AWS and proven experience with Unix, Linux or WindowsStrong knowledge of one or more infrastructure disciplines such as hardware, networking terminology, database, storage engineering, deployment practices, integration, automation, scaling, resilience, and performance assessmentsExperience with monitoring and observability tooling such as Cloud Watch, Dynatrace and DataDogExperience with chaos engineering concepts and tooling.Strong knowledge of one or more scripting languages (e.g., Python)Experience with multiple cloud technologies with the ability to operate in and migrate across public and private cloudsLeverage infrastructure engineering knowledge of additional domains, data fluency, and automation knowledge including experience with automation tools such as TerraformPreferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:AWS Associate level certification in Developer, Solutions Architect or DevOpsExpert in one or more programming languages, preferably JavaExperience managing and operating large scale, mission critical applicationsExperience with logging systems including Splunk or ELKExperience developing process, tooling and methods to help improve operational maturityExperience working in an agile environment using tools such as Jira and ConfluenceABOUT USChase is a leading financial services firm, helping nearly half of America’s households and small businesses achieve their financial goals through a broad range of financial products.
