We are looking for a Market/Financial Analyst to help our Ports & Maritime team in Miami (Coral Gables), Florida. This person should be a self-motivated professional with strong analytical skills and an understanding of the cruise, cargo, port operations, or business development dynamics within these sectors.
ResponsibilitiesYou will lead consultancy projects, overseeing key data collection and analysis for projection modeling, financial assessment, and reports for ports globally. BA's clients include public ports, cruise lines, terminal operators, investors, tourism organizations, and other maritime-related businesses. Your role will vary based on the specific project and Client need but will drive strategic decision-making for our Clients. Generally, it will consist of the following:
Conduct research and gather data using modern and traditional methods
Analyze the collected data
Create models that forecast cruise activities, financial performance, and others.
Interpret trends from data
Consolidate information into actionable items, valuable insights, and recommendations for our Clients
Provide well-written and visually appealing reports and presentations for Clients
Conduct client presentations on findings
Qualifications
Self-directed to work independently and with remote colleagues
Working knowledge of the cruise industry, cargo, and port operations
General understanding of business financials / financial management
Proven analytical experience
Excellent use of data analytic and visualization tools, i.e. Excel, Power BI, AI tools, and other databases as needed
Extremely detail-oriented
Strong written and presentation skills are a must
Effective prioritization of time to manage multiple projects and deadlines
