Planning & Project Management IT Analyst

working hybrid out of our Houston, TX or Allentown, PA office with 10-20% travel required.

Relocation assistance will be offered for this position!

The IT Analyst will provide overall responsibility for the delivery of implementation, enhancements, and maintenance of existing or new applications, meeting service level agreements, and product and lifecycle management for Planning & Project Management. In addition, the analyst will be a change agent and ensure that all collaborators are following the Air Products detailed Planning & Project Management processes and procedures.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Requirements definition, application analysis, and functional design of new solutions.

Work with the Air Products business area to implement new/enhanced functionality and application changes effectively.

Administrator experience on Omega 365, Primavera or EcoSys.

Knowledge of EPC systems in planning, scheduling, project controls, project management, document management, subcontract management, Construction Management in EPC industry preferably Oil and Gas.

Understanding of the change impact of implementation of Planning & Project Management to the project lifecycle.

In-depth knowledge in the full cycle of application activities from development through production and into support.

Deep, technical understanding of Planning & Project Management systems, processes, and data needs.

Previous experience implementing and supporting Planning & Project Management systems for large capital projects.

Provide technical direction in the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of new Digital Technology enable capabilities.

Strong working knowledge of applications used on large EPC projects, e.g., P6, Ecosys, Omega365, OpenText, Procore, Autodesk Build, O3 or similar.

Design and build new value-add solutions including ability to assess the impact of new application requirements.

Participate in design discussions and program functional reviews.

Maintain existing services, resolve incidents and problem management, and meet SLAs.

Align with the business Owners, Automation, and Digital Technologies (IT) groups.

Work closely with engineering automation group to develop automation procedures.

Capture, analyze, input and compile information.

Participate in all project stages with accountability for eliciting, validating and documenting business requirements.

Create a testing strategy and ensure all functionality is tested prior to production deployment.

Work with Change and Release Management team to ensure representation and coordination of the project.

Provide product/life cycle, vendor, and contract management for supported applications.

Continuously drive excellence in optimizing services and work processes.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in technical discipline such as computer science or engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Planning & Project Management, construction, and engineering applications.

Up to 5+ years IT or business experience, with a focus on requirements analysis preferred.

Demonstrated experience with related business activities within their functional expertise.

Strong problem solving and teamwork skills.

Able to work with minimal supervision.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong presentation skills and ability to lead workshops.

General understanding of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) service delivery methodology.

Project Management certification (PMP and / or PRINCE2) added advantage.
