Responsible for leading the charge to drive technology strategy and technical capabilities for an application ecosystem. Leverage deep understanding of business processes and technical building blocks to design application architecture that balances business and customer needs with technical non-functional requirements for resiliency, security, and efficiency. Partner with application engineers to ensure the application ecosystem is engineered according to architecture vision and continuously evolve the architecture and application to meet changing customer and business needs. Actively manage and escalate risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.

Responsibilities:

Partner with Sr. Product Owner(s) to develop product vision and strategy and align product vision with technology strategy.Independently oversee the design process for an application.Coach other architects to develop product quality strategy including nonfunctional requirements, such as reliability, availability, and security.Demonstrate a deep understanding of business processes and technical building blocks.Train others in solution design patterns.Coach internal technology communities and actively engage in understanding and researching modern technologies and patterns.

Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors – Computer Science or related.8+ Years – Software Development, Software Engineering, Technical Architecture or related.Internal applicants only:

technical proficiency rating of proficient on the Dreyfus architecture scale.

Preferred Qualifications:AWS preferred though extensive experience with other relevant providers can be applicable.Kubernetes.Openshift.Java and Spring technologies including Core, Boot, and Cloud.Microservices architecture and event-driven architecture using Kafka or Rabbit MQ.Relational databases (design/SQL/tuning).Web APIs (REST/SOAP).Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically while executing tactically.Experience working in cross-functional teams and managing competing priorities in a large enterprise.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $148,000.00 to $204,000.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors such as geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
