DescriptionWORK DESCRIPTIONThe Revenue Cycle Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of Haymarket Center’s insurance revenue cycle in order to maintain a high quality of services and ensure timely payment for services provided. The Revenue Cycle Manager will supervise the contracted billing team, identify and resolve any revenue cycle problems, communicate and coordinate with payers, coordinate the collection of receivables, analyze performance and trends, and prepare regular reports for administration.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS• Manage the day-to-day revenue cycle operational processes to ensure the timely and accurate submission of billing and collection of payments;• Supervise the contract billing and collections team including monitoring productivity and performance, assigning projects and deadlines, and providing daily guidance as needed;• Ensure that the revenue cycle processes are in accordance with organizational policies and procedures and Federal, State, and payer regulations, guidelines, and requirements;• Proactively monitor billing and accounts receivable trends and take appropriate action to address problems as they occur;• Work with other departments within the organization to improve revenue cycle metrics and ensure that billing is accurate and completed in a timely manner;• Develop and sustain strong, positive working relationships with Managed Care organizations (MCOs) and insurance payers and serve as primary liaison matters related to the revenue cycle;• Recommend changes in billing and accounts receivable policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines as appropriate;• Determine and maintain appropriate staffing metrics and measurements based on business demands• Prepare monthly reports detailing revenue cycle outcomes, initiatives, and action plans;• Review weekly billing reports for accuracy and completeness before submission to the billing team;• Assist with audits and monitoring reviews as needed;• Contribute to short and long-term organizational planning and strategy;• Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related degree preferred;• At least 3 years of related experience in healthcare revenue cycle functions;• At least 1 year of management experience;• Ability to create department objectives and direct others in achieving those goals;• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written;• Strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail;• A team player who handles multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment;• Experience in using electronic health record and billing systems;• Intermediate experience in Microsoft Office products with a strong emphasis in Excel
