Director, External Reporting

candidate will be exposed to accounting and operations on a global scale and build the unique knowledge and expertise of one of the world's largest independent maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) providers.

What you'll do:Responsible for oversight and review of the consolidation for external quarterly and annual financial statements and preparation of the MD&A for all corporate entities in accordance with U.S. GAAP.Oversight and management of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statement variance analysis.Provide financial support and direction to remote entities for complex contracts and accounting issues.Lead and review technical accounting memos prepared by the external reporting department and provide guidance to the Strategic business units on implications.Review and analyze submitted financial information from strategic business unit controllers for compliance with corporate policies and accuracy of data.Keep abreast of emerging U.S. GAAP and IFRS regulations and ensure adoption and implementation across the organization with development of accounting policies, procedures, and financial statement disclosures.Coordinate and lead activities with internal and external auditors to ensure timely, accurate completion of consolidated financial audits.Liaise with international external auditors for completion of individual legal entity statutory audits and review preparation of financial statements under applicable local GAAP requirements.Determine accounting treatment for corporate transactions such as debt arrangements, hedging contracts, acquisitions, and changes in legal structure.Prepare financial information for annual reports and regulatory agency disclosures as required.

What skills you will require:University degree in business administration, commerce, economics, or a related field; or equivalent.Recognized accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or CPA).Several years of experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning and analysis, or other financial activity.Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and IFRS regulations.
