Develops a strength-based relationship with youth and caregivers, intervenes with maladaptive behaviors, and helps create permanent connections for youth and families. Responsible for linking to community resources and transferring skill sets to the caregiver.RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESProvides direct services to youth and families.Documents direct billable mental health services in alignment with MediCal regulations.Engages and builds relationships with parents, youth, and others.Utilizes strengths of youth and families to assist in achieving goals.Works with youth and family teams to support family-driven, strength-based planning.Conducts observations regarding specific target behavior and modifies plans to support outcomes.Engages caregiver and family members in building youth-specific parenting responses.Works in the community directly with youth and families to develop safety and skill refinement plans.Supports families in accessing community-based program supports.Participates in family finding team activities.Documents interactions and maintains administrative expectations.Meets or exceeds all direct service expectations and documentation requirements.Facilitates healthy group dynamics within various settings.Builds cooperative, culturally responsive relationships with youth and families.Performs other responsibilities to support department needs.JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIESDocuments clearly and accuratelyLearning on the flyTime managementQUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
