ETRM System Analyst provides business and technical support to Allegro, Adapt2, NetSuite and other applications relative to the trading organization. This role engages with Trading, Scheduling, Risk Management, Settlements and Accounting departments, as well as external vendors and system integrators. This role actively assesses and provides solutions using technical and business acumen to meet the needs of the MEMS trading organization. This position is responsible for adhering to IT Change Management policy and MEMS’ Risk Management policy, practices and procedures.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:Support Allegro, Adapt2, NetSuite, and auxiliary applications.Maintain user support, vendor communications, installations, testing, documentation, diagnosis, resolution of problems, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, patching, upgrading, custom report creation, and performance tuning of the applications systems.Work closely with Commercial, Scheduling, Risk Management, Settlements and Accounting teams to prioritize, investigate, and troubleshoot application and data issues.Work with business users to document and facilitate sessions to gather or refine business requirements that align to MEMS strategy and objectives. Understand needs of business and translate into functional specifics for systems resolution and/or enhancements.Manage and maintain user permissions and ISO certificates per internal policies.Stay up to date on application trends and release updates.Manage issues with software vendors, and proactively communicate with both vendors and users to drive tasks to completion. Ensure issues are well documented with steps to reproduce.Follow change management policies and procedures related to Allegro.Ensure all tasks are properly tracked and managed, with willingness to put forth extra time and effort to ensure high priority items are completed in a timely manner.Ensure tracking and management of Allegro related help desk tickets and communicate weekly scrum meetings.Ensure reporting of metric data regarding tickets, resolution, issues, and project status for monthly management reports.Assist in the management of projects both internally and with contractors to keep projects on time and budget.Ensure technical and procedural manuals are updated.REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:Highly motivated, self-starter with ability to work independently with little to no supervision.Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to an evolving and growing business.Ability to investigate root causes, identify options, look for potential solutions and effectively communicate rationale.Understanding of trading concepts relative to gas, power, crude trading, scheduling, operations, risk management, settlements and accounting.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high energy trading environment.Possess refined interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:2-3 years’ experience in business systems.2-3 years’ experience or exposure to energy trading highly preferred.Proficient in SQL highly preferred.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Fluent verbal and written skills in English.WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
