Some 18,000 financial services and healthcare organizations, from the world's largest institutions to local firms, manage and account for their investments using SS&C's products and services.Job Description:The Lead RPA Developer/Engineer within the Global Investment Distribution Services (GIDS) division of SS&C plays a central role in converting a business problem into an automation-based solution that delivers value to the organization in the form of efficiency and quality improvement. They are skilled in the use of multiple technologies and have mastered the use of Robotic Process Automation as a way to solve processes that are often determined to not be “a fit for traditional automation.”Specific Responsibilities Include:Collaborating with business stakeholders, solution analysts, and engineers from other disciplines to design solutions, create requirements, and develop enterprise-grade RPA-based solutions.Leading a scrum team of fellow engineers towards common goals and driving outcomes for their team and the business.Partnering with business stakeholders, solution analysts, and relevant technology resources to understand business requirements and transform them into effective, resilient automations.Creating and leveraging detailed business requirements, technical documentation, and SDLC components (e.g., PDD, SDD, etc.) in order to efficiently build documented solutions.Individually or as a member of a development-centered scrum team designing, coding, testing, and implementing RPA-based automations.Identifying the most efficient manner in which to deliver a solution to the business stakeholder while still meeting their requirements.Participating in design sessions, estimations, Scrum ceremonies (PI/Sprint planning, sprint review, estimation, standups, etc.).Supporting existing processes and implementing change requirements as part of a structured change control process.Providing mentorship to junior developers on Blue Prism/UiPath platforms and best practices and standards.Providing accurate estimates and communicating project development progress.Identifying new methods and capabilities through active prototyping, R&D, and continuous learning.Maintenance and enhancement of existing RPA processes.Completing Full Unit testing as well as troubleshooting UAT / volume testing.Leading and coordinating code reviews to ensure necessary standards have been adhered to and feedback is acted upon.Telecommuting permitted.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Digital Sciences, or related, plus 4 years of experience in an RPA Developer role, or in any occupation in which the required experience is gained.Must Have:4 years of experience directly applying automation to business solutions.4 years of experience writing simple to complex code in RPA platforms including Blue Prism, UI Path, Automation Anywhere, WorkFusion.4 years of experience working in agile development frameworks (such as SAFe, Scrum, etc.) using agile project management software including JIRA.Proven ability to deliver solutions that incorporate the use of tight integration with a BPM ecosystem, surface automation, intelligent document processing (OCR, ICR, and ML), HIL, and APIs, ODBC/JDBC queries, JSON/XML/CSV and other flat file inputs.Proven ability with ETL model-based automations.Proven ability with Rules engines, logic-based flows, and RegEx commands to evaluate workflows.Proven ability to anticipate, identify, and manage risks.Apply online at
