JOB DESCRIPTIONWe have an opportunity to impact your career and provide an adventure where you can push the limits of what's possible.As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Investment Bank, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. As a core technical contributor, you are responsible for conducting critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.Job responsibilitiesExecutes creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problemsDevelops secure high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by othersIdentifies opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systemsLeads evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information architectureLeads communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and use of new and leading-edge technologiesAdds to team culture of equity and respectRequired qualifications, capabilities, and skillsFormal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experienceStrong programming skills in Java, C#, Typescript, and familiarity with popular front-end frameworks, React / AngularProven experience with messaging systems such as MQ, Kafka, and AWS SQSIn-depth knowledge of data modeling, SQL, and NoSQL databasesExperience with cloud services, preferably AWS, and understanding of scalable cloud architectureHands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stabilityConduct code reviews and ensure adherence to the organization's software development standards and practicesMentor junior developers, providing guidance and support in their professional developmentProficiency in automation and continuous delivery methodsProficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life CycleDemonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)Additional qualifications, capabilities, and skillsExperience with DevOps tools and methodologies, including CI/CD pipelinesBackground in financial services or other highly regulated industriesStrong analytical skills and experience with data analytics tools and platformsExcellent problem-solving abilities and a team-oriented attitudeABOUT USJPMorgan Chase & Co., one of the oldest financial institutions, offers innovative financial solutions to millions of consumers, small businesses and many of the world’s most prominent corporate, institutional and government clients under the J.P.
