As a software engineer on the ALTIUS Vehicle Management System (VMS), you will help solve technical challenges spanning navigation and localization, sensor integration, flight control mode development, validation and verification infrastructure, ALTIUS manufacturing, and deployment.WHAT YOU’LL DODesign, develop and implement our trusted, safety critical Vehicle Management Systems while balancing constraints, restrictions and requirements in a multi-stakeholder environment.Develop real-time embedded software using C++ and Python.Leverage your technical expertise to tackle complex challenges and guide your team in building a robust, scalable and secure system.Design and implement scalable vehicle management systems including sensor processing, state estimation, Navigation, contingency management, actuation, payload interfaces and mission system interfaces.Develop device drivers and interfaces to a variety of sensors and actuators.Create test and simulation fixtures that operate both software and hardware-in-the-loop.Core RequirementsBachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Engineering, a relevant field, or equivalent experience.Minimum of 5 years of C++ and Python experience in a Linux development environment.Robotics background with experience with GPS, GNSS or has worked with autopilot previously.Ability to quickly understand and navigate complex systems and established code bases.Proven experience deploying software products at scale for safety critical systems.U.S. Person status is required as this position needs to access export controlled data.The recruiter assigned to this role can share more information about the specific compensation and benefit details associated with this role during the hiring process.Anduril is an equal-opportunity employer committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace.
