Director of Financial Reporting
*Fixed Term Contract - 9 months
The Green Recruitment Company has partnered with a growing, well backed renewable IPP to support their search for a Director of Financial Reporting to sit in their Kansas City, MO office (also open to remote candidates able to travel to site monthly). This is a fixed term 9 month position.The right candidate will have a background in accounting, financial reporting, FP&A, or related field. In this role, you will be responsible for month and year-end closing, forecasting, quarterly reviews, and risk analysis. You will also be responsible for leading the financial reporting team and supporting/training junior team members.Responsibilities:
Consolidation of financial statements for internal and external use, ensuring financial reporting package is complete and accurate.
Preparation of quarterly and annual reporting to the SEC.
Responsible for research of accounting principles and regulations.
Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure quarterly and year-end financial statements are presented in accordance with GAAP and SEC standards.
Assist with quarterly and year-end audit review.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
8+ years of relevant work experience, preference for CPA.
Experience in the renewable energy sector preferred but not required.
Extensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, technical accounting and financial reporting standards.
