We areseeking an experienced Cardiac Surgery Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a locumtenens position in Bridgeport, CT. This role involves providing high-qualitycare to pre- and post-cardiac surgery patients in collaboration with a team ofcardiac surgeons. The position requiresa schedule of three 13-hour night shifts per week, including rotating weekends.The practice setting is primarily inpatient care, focused on the Intensive CareUnit (ICU), Cardiovascular Unit (CVU), and other inpatient units. The roleinvolves providing comprehensive care to pre- and post-cardiac surgerypatients, working closely with cardiac surgeons to develop and implementpatient care plans. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, managingtreatment plans, and monitoring the progress of patients recovering fromcardiac surgery. The Nurse Practitioner will perform clinical rounds andprovide critical care management in both the ICU and CVU settings.Additionally, the role includes participating in rotating weekend coverage aspart of a multidisciplinary team.Requirements:
Active NursePractitioner (NP) license in Connecticut.
Experience incardiac surgery, cardiovascular care, or a related critical care field.
Ability towork independently in a high-acuity environment.
Strongcommunication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively withsurgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
