Under supervision, the Registered Dietitian will function as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team at the UCSD Eating Disorder Program. The RD will be supervised by the clinic director and/or program managers in order to ensure adherence to the DBT model. Job duties will include:Conducting a nutritional assessment for each patient.Providing a meal plan for each patient.Checking in with patients about problems following the meal plan.Facilitating a weekly nutrition education group.Eating at least a few meals per week with patients to observe eating patterns, monitor the meal environment, and assist patients in completing meals.Attending all treatment team meetings.Providing consultation and training to the eating disorder staff in the program.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Dietitians must possess the equivalent of a Bachelor's Degree in Foods and Nutrition/Dietetics and have completed an Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Internship.Registered Dietitian (RD).Two (2) years' experience with experience in comparable acuity level.Applicants for positions in the Dietitian series are expected to possess the experience, skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
One (1) year experience with an eating disorders program.Experience in providing meal support to patients.Experience in a hospital setting following Title 22 guidelines.SPECIAL CONDITIONS
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.Must be able to work various hours, days, shifts, on-call and various locations based on the 24-hour Medical Center's business needs.Pay Transparency Act
Annual Full Pay Range: $80,883 - $106,759 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)Hourly Equivalent: $38.74 - $51.13Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
