You are invited to join our mission to empower our audio engineers by creating tools that enable them to maximize their impact in delivering the game changing product experiences that customers have come to expect from Bose.The Core Engineering Tools Team is looking for a software engineer to be a lead contributor to the tools used to measure, analyze and design the technology that will form the building blocks for the next generation of groundbreaking wearable and out-loud Bose products. Our team promotes and deploys new technology so that it can be leveraged by the engineering community, as well as builds and maintains the critical software infrastructure that keeps the Consumer Electronics division humming.The role will entail:Creating measurement, analysis and design applications and user interfacesDeveloping and supporting tools for DSP frameworksSupporting measurement and rapid prototyping hardware platformsWriting software testing and deployment pipelinesAuthoring engaging documentationEducating, supporting and collaborating with our usersBeyond software development expertise, candidates must have a solid background in audio signal processing and measurement. Practical experience with audio hardware is also highly desirable.We are a dynamic team that has a broad reach, so candidates must enjoy working collaboratively, value team dynamics, and possess high level interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.Required skills and experience:BS or MS in Electrical, Computer or Software Engineering5+ years of industry software development experienceProgramming in Matlab & Python, including object-oriented design and writing well-documented & testable codeDSP concepts and frameworksExperience with audio measurements and related tools (Audio Precision, Head Acoustics, etc.)CICD including writing test suites and packaging code for distributionChampion for code quality and standardsA passion for customer-valued interface designExcellent communication and documentation skillsTrack record of strong teamwork and collaboration on technical projectsHighly valued experience:Experience in contributing to open-source projectsHands on experience and/or interest in fields such as live sound production, home theater, automotive audio systems, audio recording and production, etc.Familiarity and experience debugging audio hardware setups including amplifiers, speakers, microphones and signal routingBose is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to inclusion and diversity.
