Overview:This is a remote role that may be hired in several markets across the United States.

The Director of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) will lead the strategy to redesign the process from a business unit focused approach to a process-based approach. The Director establishes and maintains the RCSA enterprise-wide requirements, planning, execution, and reporting on the program and risk insights. The leader understands the importance of sound practices for change management, including support for adoption including resourcing, tools, technology, and communication.

Responsibilities:

Risk Program Management:

Establishes and maintains the requirements for enterprise-level the RCSA program.

Change Management:

Supports a vision of shared success between the first, second and third line in support of the RCSA objectives. Champions change through a structured implementation approach using standardized tools and methodologies as prescribed by the Enterprise Change Office. Coordinates to optimize timing and benefits of change to requirements. Communicates with one voice for Operational Risk Management and is responsible for developing and delivering the change drivers and adoption communications, training, workshops, and feedback mechanisms. Processes feedback on progress and responds with solutions. Operates with a test and learn mindset and is receptive to the challenges encountered as learning opportunities.

Business Support:

Serves as an advisor on RCSA industry best practices. Manages program education and training through partnership with business units. Directs presentations, workshops, and other trainings, as necessary. Develops active relationships within professional networks to stay current on emerging issues and regulatory requirements. Communicates risk vision and expectations to business stakeholders.

Managerial Functions:

Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals. Makes appropriate changes to team policies, procedures, and efficiencies to meet objectives. Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff. Maximizes their team’s achievements by providing professional development.

Reporting:

Oversees the documentation of data and information to provide reporting and risk analytics to various stakeholders/audiences.

Auditing:

Assists audits of the RCSA program through partnership with both internal and external auditors. Works closely with regulatory agencies and assists regulatory exams. Ensures that all auditing or exam preparatory needs are met.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree and 10 years of experience in large financial institutions with operational risk, program management, governance, and people management OR High School Diploma and 14 years experience in large financial institutions with operational risk, program management, governance, and people management.

Skill(s):Expertise and experience with designing and implementing the RCSA requirements and program for Large Financial Institution at the division or enterprise level. Expertise in enterprise risk management, including key indicators of risk, issues management, governance, and reporting. Proven ability to establish, coordinate, and implement large, complex processes and programs, expertise of regulatory guidance pertaining to operational risk, executive presence, and effective communication skills. PC Skills including Microsoft Visio, Excel, and PowerPoint.
