is seeking a board eligible/certified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician to help expand the current program treating patients of Henry Ford Macomb Hospital (Clinton Township, Michigan), which is less than 30 miles North of our flagship hospital in Detroit, Michigan.
The Department offers Women's Care across 15 urban and suburban medical centers. Henry Ford Hospital specifically offers obstetrical and gynecologic care in the urban setting of Detroit, Michigan and its immediately surrounding areas. In addition to general obstetrics and gynecology, the department offers subspecialty care in uro-gynecology, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, reproductive endocrinology, infertility, and pelvic pain. The large division of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Henry Ford offers the opportunity for extensive call cross coverage (1 in 11-12).
Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician General Duties:
Provide oversight to certified nurse midwives, residents, and medical students.Manage high-risk obstetrical patients.Provide inpatient and outpatient gynecology services such as primary and preventative care, contraception, family planning, pelvis pathological diagnosis and treatment such as abnormal uterine bleeding, fibroid uterus, pelvic pain, and endometriosis.
Opportunities for research as well as academic appointment at Michigan State University and neighboring Wayne State University are available.
