Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $61.06 - $71.24 / Hour depending on qualifications and experience. 12-hour shifts at Huntington Health are overtime-based (not a straight time rate for all 12 hours). Therefore, employees who work a full 12-hour shift will be paid their base rate for 8 hours AND overtime (1.5) for hours up to 12.Expectations:

Responsible for the screening, planning, coordination, and pre-procedure education of patients undergoing a planned surgical/procedural event. The RN serves as the facilitator of communications within the multi-disciplinary team providing an evaluation to identify patient-specific risks for perioperative complications, therefore enhancing the safety and comfort of surgical patients. This role is essential in minimizing surgical delays and cancellations while maximizing the quality of postoperative recovery. This position may require flexibility of hours.EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree (BSN) required. Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) will be considered if enrolled in a BSN program with degree completion within 2 years of date of hire or date of transfer to an RN position. Diploma or transcripts on the highest degree earned required.EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:

Minimum three years nursing experience required, knowledgeable about nursing practice in a perioperative or critical care setting. Nursing experience in Admit/testing, outpatient/procedural setting, or perioperative care highly preferred. Basic computer skills/experience with computerized documentation systems required. Experience working with standardized procedures highly recommended.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Required: Current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) and Current Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) issued by American Heart Association.SKILLS:

Demonstration of critical thinking, multitasking, prioritization, and decisive judgment. Desire to seek out additional responsibilities and collaborate for the improvement of the department. Flexible, adaptable, and willing to take on new challenges.Worker Type:
