Conducts chemical and physical laboratory tests and makes qualitative analysis of materials, liquids, and gases.May also set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for the tests, research or process control.Must possess diploma or degree at the Associate or Bachelor level and more than one year experience.Responsibilities
Reading, comprehending, and adhering to written Standard Operating Procedures.Accurately identifying analyzed samples and verifying the sequencing accuracy for each batch.Processing acquired instrument data and generating appropriate reports.Conducting the initial review of GC/MS and/or LC/MS/MS analytical data following assay SOPs.Transcribing or uploading results to the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification.Maintaining comprehensive Chain of Custody batch documentation.Communicating with supervisors and promptly escalating any emerging challenges.Upholding and promoting a safe and healthy work environment for yourself and colleagues.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, analytical chemistry, or a related field.Minimum of one year of experience working in an analytical laboratory.Ability to handle biological specimens, chemicals, equipment, and instruments safely.Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with biological specimens and/or analytical instruments, specifically LC/MS/MS and/or GC/MS.
