How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)The job duties of a robot programmer include working to write, test, and modify programs that direct the actions of robotic equipment. As a robot programmer, the responsibilities typically consist of using hands-on teach method strategies and/or robotic software to create direction for manufacturing or industrial applications. Projects include program development and strategies to properly execute robot movement during shotpeen, welding, water strip, and grit blast applications. Working daily with engineering and department Leads to introduce new robotic programs to the production process.Summary of responsibilities (not comprehensive of all tasks):

Must be proficient in reading and comprehending mechanical drawings; interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).Interpretation of aircraft engine manuals to ensure programs are compliant with OEM requirements.Work with tooling designers to create work holdings and fixtures to properly constrain parts during a manufacturing process.Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls, program, or control media as required.Practice safety-conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures.Experience with CAD systems such as CREO, CATIA, or SolidWorks preferred.Experience reading and editing G&M code on Fanuc 31i controls preferred.What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.Must have minimum of four years verifiable experience as an industrial CNC machine operator and possess the following: a CNC operator certificate, or 2-year degree in manufacturing technology, or PLC Programming, or Industrial Systems Technology, or Machine Tool Technology required. CNC Technology diploma preferred.Applicant must have good mechanical ability with above-average problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a variety of environments.Be able to select fixtures, part holding and tooling to machine to specifications.Can confirm conformance of finished work to specifications, using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gages.Can identify workmanship defects and deficiencies and can initiate program changes as required.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and provide outstanding customer service.Must work in a safe manner.Must be able to comprehend and apply information contained in detailed and complex technical manuals, procedural manuals, blueprints, etc. with no assistance.Will have a minimum 24-month residency.Must have the ability to work without close supervisory direction and to complete the job without assignment of tasks.Perform other duties as assigned. Position will require overtime, weekend, and holidays as needed.Must meet the physical requirements which include the ability to lift at least 70 pounds.Internal candidates must be performing satisfactorily in present position.
