POSITION SUMMARY:
The Dev Ops Engineer will be an integral member of the development team. The Dev Ops Engineer will be responsible for building the infrastructure to support the team with proprietary technology.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Builds and maintains cloud infrastructure, utilizing infrastructure as code, for microservice based web applications.Builds and maintains continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) technologies in GitHub actions.Maintains performance and SLA metrics for internal applications.Maintains security of cloud infrastructure.Collaborates within the development team to enable the team to meet goals and objectives.Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.
QUALIFICATIONS:Strong communication and collaboration skills. Building software is a team sport!Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on solving business problems.Experience working in Agile software development processes.Deep knowledge of Continuous Integration and Delivery and how to build deployment pipelines and infrastructure that empowers development teams.Experience with AWS PaaS services: EKS, CloudWatch, ECS, S3, IAM, WAF, Control Tower, API Gateway, Global Accelerators, Lambda, Glue, Aurora, Redshift, QuickSight.Experience with Terraform, Cloud Formation, Puppet, or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) technologies.Proficiency in Kubernetes setup, configuration, and optimization.Proficiency in Git, Git Actions, and Git workflows.Experience with Docker, Dockerfiles, Compose, and the container ecosystem.Experience with logging and monitoring tools.Experience with JavaScript or other scripting languages.
Education Requirements/Additional Preferences:Required Years of Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in Dev Ops or Release Engineering.Education/Experience: Computer Science or other technical (STEM) degree, College degree, Programming Bootcamp Certificate/Degree, or equivalent work experience.Licenses/Certifications: AWS certifications are a strong plus: AWS Certified Developer, Certified DevOps Engineer, Circle CI or Jenkins experience.
