MasterControl is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with exceptional talent developing large-scale, complex applications and implementing design systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in modern UI frameworks (specifically React), a passion for crafting seamless user experiences, and a proven track record of collaborating effectively with Product Managers and User Experience Designers. This role will be critical in the implementation of our new UI Design System.Responsibilities
Be a technical leader, mentor, and example to your team and peersEngage with your team, lead code reviews, drive a quality mindset across the team and encourage solid design principlesEngage with other teams and leaders to collaborate on high-level features and requirements and strategiesDesign and implement high-quality, reusable frontend components for use across our ecosystemResolve product defects in conjunction with technical support and be willing to participate in on-call rotationsBe customer-focused, with a high emphasis on quality in executionChampion industry best practicesRequirements
Deep experience with modern frontend frameworks (preferably in React)Significant experience building components and systems that are designed for re-useExceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication abilitiesProven track record of collaborating effectively with PM, UX, PEs and ArchitectsPositive attitude with a penchant for collaboration and respectStrong sense of responsibility and drive to create exceptional applicationsExperience coaching and mentoring junior engineersOther Skills
Experience in React and good API design patternsFrontend testing libraries (Jest, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, etc.)Experience in GitHub Actions, Docker, and AWSExperience with contract-driven development techniques using OpenAPIExperience styling UIs and creating animations using CSS or other CSS preprocessorsThe US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$220,000 + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
