What you will do:
Complete basic Industrial Hygiene monitoring including noise assessment and ergonomic force measurements
Conduct a basic ergonomic assessment of workstations and operations
Perform basic risk assessments (Job Safety Analysis, etc.) of manufacturing operations to
identify
hazards and implement effective controls
Participate in EHS inspections (wastewater, stormwater, satellite storage areas, etc.) and improve protocols and checklists for process improvement
Assist
in

Orientation
Minimum Qualifications:
Undergraduate student currently pursuing a bachelor's degree
Ability to work
40 hours
per week for the duration of the summer
Individuals must
be authorized to
work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications:
Sophomore or Junior
currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in
Occupational He
alth & Safety, Safety Engineering, or a similar degree program
Experience in the M
icrosoft
Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
Work visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Work
Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee
is regularly required to
sit, talk, and
hear
. The employee
is occasionally required to
stand, sit, climb, or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee
is occasionally required to
stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
