A successful candidate is someone who can efficiently and accurately assemble components and materials, in accordance with plans and specifications, as directed by others. The candidate must be able to understand written and verbal instructions while following drawings and work instructions. While the individual will work with metal cladding, insulation, and steel components; a successful candidate will have experience in carpentry or roofing, material handling, mechanical assembly, and maintain a safe work environment through organization and housekeeping.Job ResponsibilitiesAssembling of structural metal building panels in a manufacturing settingOperation of hand and power toolsAccurate use of measuring devices including squares and tape measuresParticipation in safe material handling and suspended load movementsAbility to follow instructions and execute assigned dutiesComplete tasks within set timeframes to ensure goals are metFollow safety guidelines and procedures at all timesPerform all other duties as assignedRequirementsRequirementsHigh school diploma, general education degree or vocational degree2+ years of experience with general trade skills for siding/roofing/metalworking or assemblyAbility to select the proper tool for the tasks and ensures proper operationSkillful operation of non-specialized shop equipmentParticipates in the development of processes for repeatable execution of tasksPhysical Requirements/ Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body, able to reach overhead, able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to, stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling, squatting; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance for extended periods of time. Be able to lift, pull and push material and equipment to complete assigned job tasks. Be able to lift 70 pounds. The employee will be exposed to shop elements such as noise, dust, fumes, and odors. This position requires physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities in a primarily production environment.
