This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday, with hours of 7am - 3:30pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. Our office is located at 250 Bon Air Rd., Greenbrae, CA.

Primary Responsibilities:

Notifications to payers of inpatient staysObtaining authorizations for inpatients and/or observation patients while in house and documenting in the EMRMonitoring and actively working EMR work queues for account activity needsResponsible for obtaining all demographics and insurance informationPoint of service collectionsProviding informationAnswering phonesOther duties pertinent to optimal patient experience, patient flow, and efficient staff utilization are also expected

Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma/GED (or higher)Ability to work onsite at 250 Bon Air Rd, Greenbrae, CAAbility to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime

Preferred Qualifications:

1+ years of hospital registration experience1+ years of experience in an office or medical environmentExcellent computer skills to include Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word and ability to navigate Windows with excellent keyboarding skillsKnowledge of medical terminologyComfortable handling cash transactionsComfortable with Electronic Medical RecordsKnowledge of insurance, coding, authorizations and revenue cycle

California Residents Only:

The hourly range for California residents is $19.47 to $38.08 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
