Build strong analytical, reasoning, and technical troubleshooting skills. Work various shifts as part of a 24/7 coverage team and translate business and operation requirements into technical requirements.Engineering & SupportActs as Tier 1 support for all on-air broadcast systems.Follows standard operating procedures to support the operations team in a 24/7 environment.Builds and maintains FOX's compression & transport infrastructure.Conducts lab, performance, and system tests to evolve FOX's architecture.Collaboration & PartnershipsSupports the Media Control Center in day-to-day operations.Partners with Engineering and Standards & Advanced Technology teams to develop technology solutions.Collaborates with engineering teams, operations teams, and third-party vendors.Performance ImprovementUses data to understand and improve team performance.Analyzes dashboards to optimize system security and testing.Prioritizes the use of Objectives and Key Results (OKRs).People Management & DevelopmentEmbodies a culture of continuous learning.Is motivated by being part of a high-performing team.Enjoys learning from and coaching others.WHAT YOU WILL NEEDMaintain and troubleshoot compressed and uncompressed workflows.Strong knowledge of SCTE insertion systems, media contribution/distribution.Advanced maintenance of Satellite and linear distribution.Lead new projects and collaborate with various teams.Expert knowledge of SDI video transport and familiarity with new video codecs.Strong understanding of networking principles.NICE TO HAVE, BUT NOT A DEALBREAKERBachelor's Degree or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or related field.Advanced knowledge of video compression & codecs.Knowledge of industry standards such as ATSC and SMPTE.Basic Linux Admin skills.Solid understanding of windows-based operating systems.We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, gender identity, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.At FOX, we foster a culture and environment where everyone feels welcome and can thrive.
