About You

The Senior Architect will be instrumental in the Company's multi-Franchise growth plan across various geographies in the United States. The Senior Architect will oversee a team through Design and work closely with MEP consultants to create the Construction Documents on various project types including Food & Beverage and Fitness Facilities. The Senior Architect will lead the project team throughout the construction process, adapting architectural plans according to Budget constraints and Company timelines.

Primary Responsibilities

Work directly with brand operations teams to dictate individual schematic tenant improvement store layouts and produce full tenant improvement permit and construction documents for select corporate and franchisee stores. Project will include both new construction and existing building remodels.

Coordinate with external engineering consultants to produce construction documents and specifications required for permitting and construction.

Support in-house construction management representative during bidding, permitting, and construction phases of each project.

Conduct site visits as required to observe construction progress and generate punch list documentation as projects approach completion.

Proactively oversee timely responses to construction questions to keep store openings on schedule.

Develop and maintain architectural brand standard documents, considering construction cost, material lead times, and national material availability to support efficient expansion for various brands. Maintain expert knowledge and understanding of each brand's architectural standards for efficient application to location-specific designs.

Work with Real Estate Managers and Franchisees to obtain and review core and shell permit drawings, as-built documents, site access, and/or photographic documentation to ensure existing conditions are understood and documented prior to start of design.

Serve as in-house architectural representative to advise on architectural matters for various development projects. Serve as architectural liaison between franchisees and Vice President of Real Estate and Development for all projects in design phases.

Manage project timelines and resources efficiently to deliver documents at the appropriate time relative to landlord delivery and/or core and shell construction completion, as appropriate.

Ensure project designs meet or exceed requirements of the local AHJ with regard to building codes, accessibility, food service, health department, and operations expectations.

Maintain organized tracking of project performance metrics in order to provide regular project pipeline reports to Vice President of Real Estate and Development, ideally in Monday.com.

Qualifications

Current Architectural License in the State of Utah

NAAB accredited degree in Architecture

5-years of post-licensure experience

NCARB Record preferred (for reciprocal licensure applications as required)

Experience managing small projects with accelerated construction document delivery and build-out schedules

Experience working with and/or maintaining prototypical design standards

Strong proficiency in REVIT, AutoCAD, and Adobe Photoshop

Prior experience working in Monday.com project management software preferred
