The
Sr. Manager, Cloud Architecture and Engineering
is responsible for playing a pivotal role in overseeing the company’s cloud computing strategy including cloud adoption plans, cloud migration, cloud application design, cloud operations, and cloud management. Our ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the Microsoft Azure Cloud, possessing a deep understanding of native cloud solutions, Cloud PaaS and IaaS solutions.
This position will serve our
ENTERPRISE DIVISION , located in
Atlanta, GA (Hybrid) .
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the management and operation of the company’s cloud infrastructure including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management.
Manage a team of Cloud engineers, administrators, and analysts, and collaborate with other IT managers to provide Cloud services that are robust, resilient and align with the company’s business needs.
Manage relationships with third-party offshore resources and vendors, ensuring they meet contractual obligations and service level agreements.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of cloud systems, ensuring they run smoothly and efficiently.
Participate as a senior engineer and lead a team of Cloud Engineers to ensure high availability and performance of the cloud environment.
Develop and implement best practices and standards for cloud engineering and deployment.
Design and implement cloud architectures that align with the company’s business needs. This includes developing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), building runbooks and documentation, and ensuring the Cloud team is prepared to support the technology.
Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure the security of the company’s cloud-based systems.
Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure assets to deliver operational excellence and cost efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute the cloud roadmap.
Provide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure initiatives. This includes staying up-to-date with the latest trends in cloud computing and introducing innovative cloud solutions to the company.
QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience in Infrastructure engineering, network engineering, and Cloud engineering with a focus on Azure Cloud.
Hands-on experience implementing, deploying, and supporting Azure Cloud Infrastructure.
Proven experience as a manager in an IT infrastructure role managing Cloud engineering teams.
Extensive experience in developing infrastructure and cloud solutions and architecture.
Proven Cloud engineering experience in Microsoft Azure deploying IaaS and PaaS services.
Hands-on experience developing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ARM templates, and other automation techniques and applications.
Proven experience in architecture, design, and implementation of solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure Cloud services; Infrastructure (IaaS) and Platforms (PaaS).
Proven experience with Cloud systems planning, Cloud security principles, and general software management best practices.
Excellent understanding of typical multi-tier architectures: web servers, caching, application servers, and database servers.
Project planning and management experience with a focus on managing Cloud Infrastructure.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Azure expert certifications in cloud architecture, solutions architecture, cloud security, and cloud administration.
Proven working experience in AWS Cloud, Oracle Cloud, or similar.
Master’s degree in relevant IT field.
Additional certifications (e.g., AWS Cloud, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Terraform, Ansible).
