We are looking for an Engineer Project Manager to support our South Region team, a crucial role geared towards the design and management of transportation infrastructure projects, mainly for TxDOT. This individual will be integral in steering our team towards the delivery of exceptional schematic designs, PS&E, structural plans, and precise cost estimations.Only candidates located in Texas will be considered.Responsibilities
Lead and collaborate with a team to manage and execute bridge design tasks for diverse transportation projects, focusing predominantly on TxDOT projects.Oversee the preparation of comprehensive structural designs, specifications, and cost estimations for a variety of structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and other related infrastructure.Supervise load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations.Mentor engineering team to use current engineering design software to complete designs.Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines.Offer technical guidance to Professional Engineer/EIT and CAD Designer / Drafters on project.Develop design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others.Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables.Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects.Execute quality assurance checks on design calculations and drawings.Develop engineering budget and schedule to support project management.Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 12+ years of relevant experienceMaster's degree in Engineering and 10+ years of relevant experienceTexas PE license is required.SE license is preferred.Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as PGSuper, WinCore, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MicroStation, spColumn, LPile, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD PRO, AASHTOWare etc.A track record of successfully leading bridge design projects.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Woolpert, Inc. is a cutting-edge national architecture, engineering and geospatial (AEG) firm that delivers value to clients by blending site and architectural design excellence with innovative technology and geospatial applications.
