The Unit Coordinator is responsible for receptionist and clerical tasks on the nursing unit. The Unit Coordinator assists the nurses in maintaining unit communications and the transcription/transmittal of physicians’ orders, as appropriate. In addition, the Unit Coordinator performs a variety of duties related to the scheduling of outpatient infusions, related testing, and communicating with physician’s offices on a daily basis. The Unit Coordinator demonstrates professional behavior during all interactions with patients and the entire multidisciplinary team.Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required. One (1) year or more of clerical experience within a medical oncology/outpatient infusion setting. Medical terminology and computer skills preferred.
