Full-timeShift: DayLocation: UM Rehab and OrthoPosition Type: ExemptWhat's In it for you?Low therapist-to-patient ratios.UMROI operates more like a Med Surg unit than a skilled nursing facility.Patients receive 3 hours of therapy a day, leading to increased recovery.Thorough orientation and training provided by hiring leaders.A gratifying work environment where patients regain independence.$10,000 Sign On Bonus OfferedGeneral SummaryDeliver physical therapy services through evaluation of patient needs, goal determination, and development of treatment plans according to the principles and practices of physical therapy.Principal Responsibilities and TasksPerform direct physical therapy services in accordance with accepted standards and the State of Maryland Physical Therapy Practice Act.Document patient evaluations and care provided in the medical record.Participate in performance improvement activities and suggest areas for improvement.Report clinical and operational issues to department leadership.Demonstrate interdisciplinary, patient-centered care and deliver excellent customer service.Education & Experience1 year of relevant experience preferred.Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland.Current ACLS or BCLS certification.Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesProficient knowledge of PT theory and practice techniques.Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Ability to communicate with an interdisciplinary team, patients, and families.Effective writing skills for documentation and record-keeping.
