Job Description - Registered Nurse (Reg)/ 36hr Rotating- Usen 4 - Cardiac step-down (3292947)The registered nurse renders highly professional and technical nursing care to assigned patients. The registered nurse provides direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation). Oversees other assigned team members and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to provide population-specific care in accordance with the BORN regulations and professional standards of care.Minimum Requirements:Current MA RN license required. Minimum of 1-2 years nursing experience is required.Job Knowledge and Skills:Strong interpersonal communication, problem solving, and conflict management skills required. Telemetry experience preferred.Education and Experience:Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Bachelor degree in nursing preferred. Demonstrated clinical competence and experience as required by the specific job posting. 1 year Med/Surg experience required, unless otherwise noted in job posting. Critical care experience preferred. Expected to train to fill step down role within 1st 6 months.Training Certifications and/or Registrations:CPR Training required within first 3 months of employment. Evidence of continued education and professional development. Certification or advanced training in specialty area preferred. Telemetry training required within the first year of employment.Physical Environment:The RN works in a variety of patient care environments where there may be exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous materials such as chemotherapeutic agents, radioisotopes, and radiation. Caring for patients also involves exposure to human waste and other unpleasant elements.
