Dematic is seeking a Senior Software Quality Engineer, with a future-focused mindset and having intralogistics domain experience with the ability to work closely in an agile and continuous delivery environment alongside local and global team members.

The selected candidate will join the Software and System QA Org to assist in creating/updating/extending domain Solution software tests, with a focus on automation testing. The candidate will be utilizing Dematic's internal Test emulation and automation testing frameworks. The selected candidate will work with both the development team and the POs to understand and decompose requirements and subsequently chalk out the tests that need to be created. In addition to creating and building tests (both manual and automation), the candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute towards extending the capabilities of the testing framework.

The system and solution level testing is paramount to Dematic's ability to deliver the highest and best-in-class quality intralogistics solution to our customers. The selected candidate will assist in transforming System and software QA practices, assisting software emulation and automation testing into a continuous and efficient end-to-end quality engineering function to further improve control, accuracy, and integrity of our solutions deliverables.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $82,000-$166,000, at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

This is What You Will do in This Role:Software Solution Requirements analysis and decomposition leading to scripting/test execution/issue triaging and defect creation for various manual and automated test cases.Assimilate and compile or assist in compiling QA metrics needed for quality review related to Solution releases.Coach and mentor junior software QA engineers.Work in standard SDLC process environment using Agile Development methodologies.Learn and apply new tools, technologies, and industry best practices.Participate in development and upkeep of automation testing tools and automation testing software and as needed, generate technical and design documentation in relation to automation testing.Assist, as needed, in continuous performance, endurance, and volume testing.Support department goals of Continuous and On-Demand Software roll-outs via creation/maintenance/execution of automation and manual test cases/scripts.Lead/conduct/assist in training our internal customers on test artifacts that support released software.

What We Are Looking For:Bachelor's degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.Excellent interpersonal skills along with cross-cultural team interaction experience.Excellent communication skills and flexibility for cross time zone interactions.Excellent problem-solving and creative thinking skills.10+ years of current experience in software development/software solution development teams.8+ years of current hands-on experience in software quality control (manual and automation testing).3+ years of current experience in the Intralogistics domain.1+ years of current experience working on Cloud Technologies and Frameworks.Ability to travel 5% - 10%.

Needed Technical Skills:Proficiency in usage of Test management software (e.g., TestRail).Proficiency in using and working with software development and management tools, documentation tools, e.g., GitLab, Development IDEs, Maven, Git, Atlassian Confluence, and JIRA, etc.Proficiency in Java coding skills and coding standards with active usage of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.Proficiency with jUnit, TestNG, and similar test frameworks.Good working knowledge of Relational database concepts and SQL syntax; preferably but not limited to Postgres/MS SQL-Server/Oracle.Good working knowledge of REST APIs, usage, and means to test.Good knowledge of docker and container technology.Working and recent knowledge of cloud technology (GCP/Azure).Working knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins.Working knowledge of scripting libraries/platforms (e.g., Typescript/Python, etc.)Working knowledge of UI Automation testing.
