The Shenandoah University Division of Occupational Therapy is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a faculty position for the hybrid Master of Science in Occupational Therapy- Weekend Program based at our Health Professions campus in Winchester, VA. This is a career-contract track position at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor and is a full-time, 12-month faculty position reporting directly to the Program Director.

The primary responsibilities of this position include teaching and student advising in the didactic and clinical phases of the program.

In addition, faculty within the program are expected to participate in interprofessional education opportunities; participate in scholarships; and provide service including active participation on program, school, and university committees. Opportunities are provided for professional service to the OT profession and clinical practice.

Qualifications:

Graduation from an accredited occupational therapy program

Minimum of an earned Masters degree/Doctoral degree preferred (clinical or research)

A minimum of three years of current clinical experience

Current NBCOT certification and eligibility for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Experience in OT education and/or clinical precepting is desirable.

Your Qualifications/What You Will Bring:

Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Strong teamwork skills.

Excellent technical skills required, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Proficiency in talent management software systems preferred such as viDesktop, LawCruit, and PeopleSoft.

Excellent organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills, and superior attention to detail required.

Excellent analytic skills are required, including the ability to compile, review and determine logical conclusions or recommendations based on data or information that is varied in content or format.

Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Ability to juggle multiple responsibilities; ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
