Position Summary:

The IT Technician will have fundamental knowledge of common operating systems, hardware, software, networking, and strong written and verbal communication skills. They will help to deploy and maintain end-user equipment such as desktops, laptops, cellphones, tablets, and other devices. They will help to clean, organize, and maintain common IT areas, as well as maintain inventory levels.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

IT Technician is a full-time (40 hours per week), non-exempt/hourly position. Typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8 am-5 pm. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

This position is full-time onsite position, no remote work.

Travel:

Travel is not typical for this position.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

IT Technician position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to install and configure common hardware and software components

Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and other end-user issues

Fundamental knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, and other common business software

Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Comfortable with climbing ladders and working above floor level.

Must be able to work mornings, nights, and weekends as job duties demand.

Maintain a high standard of communication, organization, and troubleshooting skills.

Must maintain the utmost confidentiality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Provide technical support to office staff and remote workers for hardware, software, networking, and telephony issues.

Deploy, upgrade, and repair workstations and other end-user devices for office and remote staff.

Keep IT areas organized and clean.

Maintain and organize IT inventory.

Assist the rest of the IT team with other tasks and projects, as necessary.

Affirm and adhere to Sonic's confidentiality policies and procedures.
