We strive for a culture that is innovating better ways to deliver pharmaceutical care.Job DescriptionWaltz Health is looking for an experienced Healthcare Data Architect to oversee and implement our patient-centric healthcare data model. The candidate will be responsible for understanding the existing data layout and planning the implementation of the data model. Additional responsibilities include owning, tracking, and resolving data-related incidents.This role will also oversee the data integration work for Engineering Enablement, including data model, maintaining Waltz Health Microsoft Azure database environments.You will be reporting to the Sr. Director of Cloud and Infrastructure Services. You will be responsible for:Demonstrate knowledge of cloud database architecturesAnalyzing and translating business needs into long-term solution data models.Evaluating existing data systems.Extensive experience in the US Healthcare domain.Working with the development team to create conceptual data models and data flows.Developing best practices for data coding to ensure consistency within the system.Reviewing modifications of existing systems for cross-compatibility.Implementing data strategies and developing physical data models.Updating and optimizing local and metadata models.Evaluating implemented data systems for variances, discrepancies, and efficiency.Troubleshooting and optimizing data systems.Experience working with PostgreSQL and Snowflake.You will be successful because you:Partner where necessary with business application engineering to expand and enhance database related services.Ensure data management solutions meet/perform to technical and functional/non-functional requirements.Demonstrate the ability to drive business and product performance through advanced cloud computing solutions.Have thought leadership with cloud industry expertise supporting fellow team members across business and technology areas.Are enthusiastic, positive, and hardworking.Flexible with job roles and responsibilities – i.e., be willing to jump into new projects and have a scrappy start-up mentality.A clear communicator who is comfortable working with all levels of the organization.Thrive working independently and autonomously and can adapt to changing needs of a growing company.Can think effectively, critically, and creatively.Live in the US (Chicago preferred) and am willing to travel.In the first 90 days, you will:Come up to speed on Waltz Health products, services, and operating model.Continue work on a framework for a patient centric data model.Collaborate with product engineering teams in support of new products and services.Contribute to the data strategy.In the first 12 months, you will:Assess master data management strategies and recommend areas for improvement.Contribute to the Data Management strategy.Benefits for Full-Time Employees
