BKV Group seeks an Accounting Manager with 5+ years of related experience to join our Minneapolis, MN office in the North Loop. Our ideal candidate is detail and solution oriented, deadline driven and able to supervise and manage multiple priorities. This individual is responsible for system integration and process improvement as well as management of AR and AP process and reporting. In reporting to the CFO, the Accounting Manager responsibilities include:

System Integration:

Maintain current processes related to software conversions and integrations.

Financial Reporting:

Preparation of accrual monthly financial statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports for monthly board review. Update and maintain fixed asset records.

Compliance & Audits:

Review compliance with company accounting policies, procedures and internal controls. Assist CFO with audit preparation and delegation of required tasks as appropriate.

Quality Control:

Assist, support, and review quality control of various accounting functions such as miscellaneous G/L entries, general ledger reconciliation, tax reconciliation, monthly bank reconciliation, month end close process, fraud prevention support, and maintenance of employee training and marketing budget tracking. Maintain overall company financial system electronic filing and archiving.

Team Management:

Manage Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable accounting team for day-to-day operations quality control/review of general accounts payable, employee expense batches, and client billings. Conduct accounting team annual reviews. Maintain awareness of responsibilities of accounting staff for backup and assistance as necessary and help distribute workloads depending on needs of team.

Collaboration:

Coordinate with Admin team, Leadership, and additional Operations Staff to maintain adherence to and improve efficiency of department policies and procedures and internal controls.

Budget & Cash Management:

Assist CFO with preparation of annual office budget. Assist with cash management and cash projections. Approve submitted Purchase Orders under $10,000 in accordance with annual budget. Conduct monthly bill review meetings with Project Managers to maintain AR cycle, contract status, support collections and help ensure accurate project budgets in operating system.

Special Projects:

Handle special projects as requested by the CFO or Leadership Team.

Qualifications

Minimum 4-year accounting degree required.

At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience.

Advanced computer skills including high proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Experience with Unanet A/E or similar professional services accounting package preferred.

Ability to work well with strategic management direction and provide strategic insight to tasks.

Must work well with team and variety of personalities.

Excellent organization, time management, and detail-oriented talents a must.
