Clinical Lab Scientist II - San Juan Capistrano, CA - Sunday to Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PMThis licensed position is accountable for performing clinical laboratory testing, following all applicable policies and procedures.Pay Range: $41.17 - $69.99 / hourSalary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Depending on whether it is a part-time or full-time position, some of the benefits offered may include:Day 1 Medical/Dental/Vision for FT employees who work 30+ hours15 PTO days first yearPaid HolidaysAnnual Bonus Opportunity401(k) with matching contributionsVariable compensation plan (AIP) bonusEmployee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Blueprint for WellnessTuition Reimbursement for undergraduate and graduate programs for FT employees who work 30+ hoursOpportunities for career advancementTraining provided!Responsibilities:Consistently and independently performs the most complex level of clinical tests following the required procedures and policies.Oversees the preparation of reagents or media as well as stock solutions, standards, and controls.Determines the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria in testing procedures.Accurately enters results of testing and checks the computer review reports to monitor accurate reporting of results.Evaluates the acceptability of routine and complex analysis prior to releasing patient reports.Responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance troubleshooting and calibration of laboratory equipment.Performs Quality Control and calibrations with the appropriate frequency and evaluates results to determine acceptability of result release.Trains staff in proper performance of both routine and complex procedures.Works with Group Lead and Supervisory staff to schedule effective weekly workloads.Actively participates in staff meetings, and in Quality Improvement meetings as assigned.Responsible for following all required procedures, practices and related guidelines as provided in company policy and associated procedures for safety, environmental, and infection control.Maintains professional growth and development through continuing education.QUALIFICATIONS:Required Work Experience:

N/APhysical and Mental Requirements:The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects. Objects in the weight range of 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects in the weight range of 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally.Ability to perform repetitive tasks.
