Candidate must live in the Atlanta area.Position SummarySupports and trains others on the process to manage customer receipts and collect outstanding balances. Supports improvement processes and procedures to ensure accurate and timely customer reporting. Manages work to meet tight month-end close deadlines. Tracks daily progress managing balance of efficiency and effectiveness when there are competing priorities. Resolves complex cash issues.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify and post accounts receivable payments, apply credits, and/or adjustments to the appropriate customer and expense accounts.Process and apply daily cash receipts using accounting software via uploads and manual entry.Identify and resolve discrepancies such as short pays with direct contact with the customer and internal departments to clear issues.Navigate efficiently through the A/R and G/L modules to quickly create system-generated reports.Respond to AR team questions for quick resolution and feedback in a timely manner.Report Hot payments and coordinate preparation of import files to aid in meeting Day 1 application team goals.Assist in any testing needed for new processes, process changes, or system upgrades.Administer training to new hires or team members for new processes.Run all bank reports and EDI reports for the team.Perform manager functions as needed to support the team if the manager is not available.Apply receipts daily for all credit card settlements, wires, ACH/EFTS, lockbox checks, and manual deposits.Identify any receipts that are not customer-related and follow up on proper GL code for posting.Assist with ad hoc projects and inter-co payment transfer journal entries.Work with Billing and Collections teams to obtain remits and post payments in full to ensure application and unapplied cash targets are met or exceeded.Knowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesA/R AccountingFamiliarity with GAAPEpicor, NetSuite, Getpaid, or similar accounting softwareFacilities and exterior building services industry a plusMS Office applications and tools (strong Excel; V-Lookup, Tables)Oral and written communicationsProblem solving/Dispute resolutionProcess improvementCustomer serviceOrganizational and priority settingSense of urgency and flexibilityCommitted to team successJob Experience RequirementsMinimum 5 years’ experience in cash application and collectionsBenefits:As a full-time KBS employee (30+ hours per week) you may qualify for benefits including medical, dental, vision, prescription drugs, and more!Paid Time OffPaid HolidaysSick TimeLife InsuranceSupplemental Health Insurance (E.G., Accident)401k plan with a match or Non-qualified Deferred Compensation PlanPet InsurancePerkspot Discount Program – discounts on travel, gyms, cell phones, restaurants, auto, apparel & electronicsKBS considers all applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, gender identity, and expression, marital or military status, or based on an individual's status in any group or class protected by applicable federal, state, or local law.
