Expanded Learning Opportunities (ELO-P) CoordinatorEquitas Academy provides a structured, achievement-based community that prepares students to graduate from four-year colleges and universities. We currently operate four Elementary Schools and two Middle Schools and serve almost 2,000 scholars in the Pico Union Community of Los Angeles.Under the supervision of the Director of Extended Learning, the ELO-P Coordinator is responsible for the implementation and oversight of the Expanded Learning programs. Responsibilities will include collaboration with the various expanded learning programs and program staff, as well as school staff and network staff.Schedule: Monday‐Friday, 10:00am to 6:30pmPlease only apply if these hours work for your schedule for an entire school year.

Essential Responsibilities - Internal Programs

Meets with staff on a regular basis, including one-on-one check‐ins and group meetings, to monitor program implementation and facilitate communication among stakeholders (e.g., having meetings with the Director of Extended Learning, school leaders, external partners, network leaders, internal ELO-P program staff).Leads all communication regarding ELO-P programs to parents and school staff.Records, inputs, and tracks data reports and ensures compliance with the organizational policies.Works with the Director of Extended Learning to ensure the implementation of an enriched curriculum.Monitors and requests adequate instructional supplies for the programs.Reports regularly to the Director of Extended Learning with issues of concern that need immediate attention to identify trends and make recommendations for programmatic improvement.Assists the Director of Extended Learning to ensure that all government contract ELOP and ASES standards are met at all measures.Provides information to support management-level decision making.Essential Responsibilities - External Programs

Assigns and monitors Expanded Learning Programs.Acts as program liaison to program partners, schools, parents, law enforcement, and other community agencies.Coordinates the sharing of schools’ spaces and program schedules to ensure the equitable and organized use of facilities.Collaborates with the Woodcraft Rangers after-school and summer program to ensure alignment with the network-wide policies.Essential Responsibilities - Program and Staff Management

Carries out the mission, vision, and values of Equitas Academy.Creates and nurtures a safe, positive, and welcoming working environment for staff, students, and parents.Supervises all Expanded Learning Teams at the individual site(s).Maintains high behavioral expectations for students.Maintains close, daily contact with school staff and parents to provide and receive student information.Nurtures respectful relationships with scholars, staff, and families.May perform other administrative duties as assigned by the Director of Extended Learning.Develops and supervises staff activities, including staff development and training.Monitors the delivery of quality enrichment and educational lesson plans that are consistent with the mission of Equitas Academy.Qualifications and Experience

AA degree or a minimum of 60 semester units required.BA degree highly preferred.At least two years of experience supervising after‐school or enrichment programs in a leadership position required.At least two years of experience working with youth and families required.At least two years of experience in a role that manages schedules, facilities, staff, or program development.Current CPR and 1st Aid Certificate or within 3 months of employment.Criminal clearance, including fingerprints and TB Test required prior to employment.Bilingual English/Spanish required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Demonstrated ability in working with youth, parents, and community leaders.Strong organization skills and calendaring skills.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Ability to gather quantitative and observational data and monitor program trends.Ability to respond to student behavior challenges.
