This position will report to a Principal or designee level staff member within our Building Envelope division and will involve a variety of general functions, including but not limited to:Understand exterior wall construction project phases including but not limited to shop drawing, modeling, design development and construction documentsConducting field review and progress inspection on designated projectsDocument and maintain well written reports on project related activityEnsure familiarity with building codes in local marketsAdvise Project manager on status, scheduling, effort of work and estimates for completionCommunicate effectively and establish relationships with clients and job related management teamsProviding cross-functional support to ensure client needs and internal timelines/project activities are completedMaintain detailed documents and progression of work from initial proposal through completionPresent project related technical information to clients and design teamsOccasional presentation of white paper/case studies to technical teamsAttend in-house seminars and scheduled team meetingsSupport junior technicians or entry level staffPerform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager.Qualifications

Minimum of 1-3 years working with building envelope design, inspection, development and/or engineeringBachelor’s degree in Engineering (Architectural, Civil, or Mechanical preferred)Knowledge of broad architectural design theories/concepts and specific structural theories/concepts related to exterior wall constructionExperience using measurement devicesMinimum 10 hour OSHA certification preferredAbility to read and interpret architectural drawingsStrong written and verbal communications skillsExcellent PC computer skills and experience with Microsoft Word or suitable document writing programsMust demonstrate an ability to work in a dynamic team environment, to think outside the box, and solve complex problemsAbility to be detail-oriented as well as see the bigger pictureAdditional Information
