The Crisis Residential Treatment programs will provide short-term, 24/7 crisis residential services for adults ages 18+ via 16 beds at Telecare Magnolia House- USC Campus- Los Angeles, CA. Services will help clients in acute psychiatric distress avoid inpatient hospitalization, emergency services, and incarceration; regain their stability in a safe, homelike environment; begin working toward longer-term recovery goals; and establish linkages with stable housing and ongoing treatment.

Shifts Available:

Full Time; AM/PM 11:00 am - 7:30 pm; Monday - Friday

Expected starting wage range is $66,560.00 - $73,079.74. Telecare applies geographic differentials to its pay ranges. The pay range assigned to this role will be based on the geographic location from which the role is performed. Starting pay is commensurate with relevant experience above the minimum requirements.

POSITION SUMMARY

In this entry-level management position and under direct supervision of the Clinical Director or Administrator, the Peer Recovery Team Lead supervises multidisciplinary teams, coordinates service needs, and collaborates with other services and agencies. The Peer Recovery Team Lead completes assessments and determines the appropriate level of services for new members served.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

Certified Peer Specialist and/or completed Peer Support TrainingExperience must be three (3) years or part-time equivalent of experience supporting individuals with mental disabilitiesExperience as a beneficiary of the public Behavioral Health system of careSuccessful completion of Peer Support Training or Peer Employment TrainingSensitivity to multi-cultural populations and issuesMust be at least 18 years of ageMust be CPR, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), and First Aid certified on date of employment or within 60 days of employment and maintain current certification throughout employmentAll opportunities at Telecare are contingent upon successful completion and receipt of acceptable results of the applicable post-offer physical examination, 2-step PPD test for tuberculosis, acceptable criminal background clearances, excluded party sanctions, and degree or license verification. Position requires driving, valid driver's license, a motor vehicle clearance, and proof of auto insurance is required at time of employment and must be maintained throughout employment. Additional regulatory, contractual, or local requirements may apply.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Demonstrates the Telecare mission, purpose, values, and beliefs in everyday language and contact with internal and external stakeholdersEngages, inspires, and facilitates meaningful conversations with members served that assist the person to explore, create, and meet their own recovery goalsResponds to critical situations with a high-level of engagement and de-escalation skills that support a least restrictive environment for individuals experiencing an emergency related to a mental health/addiction challengeOrganizes team meetings to update and coordinate assigned tasks and work flow for team membersEnsures required peer services deliverables are met or exceeded by self and team membersEnsures accuracy of records and safeguards client confidentialityMonitors documentation and other required standards for content quality and quantityCollaboratively works with internal and external customersProvides on-site recovery and peer support skill coaching and developmentMonitors and supports staff attendance, required credentials, and performance development of team membersTravels locally to provide outreach to members served in the community (program specific)Must assist with restraint of members served in the event of assaultive behavior and pass assault crisis/crisis prevention training

Duties and responsibilities may be added, deleted, and/or changed at the discretion of management.

Position requires transporting Members in program van (acceptable driving record) and driving personal vehicle for company business such as trainings, offsite meetings, etc.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, twist, squat, kneel and lift and carry items weighing 25 pounds or less as well as to frequently sit, walk, reach, bend and do simple and power grasping. The position requires manual deviation, repetition and dexterity.
