Our team collaborates across the entire AWS organization to bring access to product and service teams, to get the right solution delivered and drive feature innovation based upon customer needs.
Responsibilities
Work as a technical leader alongside customer business, development and infrastructure teamsLead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of new technologies and practicesArchitect and build highly scalable, cloud-native applications on the AWS platform using core developer services such as: API Gateway, Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB and ECSLeverage new technology paradigms (e.g., serverless, containers, microservices)Migrate monolithic applications to microservices architecturesAdvise on implementing AWS best practicesInfluence infrastructure architecture by sharing your application development expertiseRepresent the voice for developers internally and influence our AWS Professional Services offerings and AWS product strategy for developers by working with AWS platform engineering, Business Development and other cross-functional teams
Our Consultants work with enterprise customers locally, regionally and potentially domestically. As such, Consultants will be required to travel to client locations to sell and deliver professional services as needed.
It is expected to work from one of the above locations (or customer sites) at least 1+ days in a week. This is not a remote position. You are expected to be in the office or with customers as needed.
This position requires that the candidate selected must currently possess and maintain an active TS/SCI Security Clearance with Polygraph. The position further requires the candidate to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Science or related technical field8+ years of large scale software development or application engineering with recent coding experience in two or more modern programming languages such as: Java, JavaScript, C/C++, C#, Swift, Node.js, Python, Go, or RubyArchitecting, designing and developing applications on the AWS platform and possess Cloud certificationsDesigning and building applications using Container and serverless technologiesExperience architecting highly available systems that utilize load balancing, horizontal scalability and high availabilityGood exposure to Agile software development and DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Continuous Integration and automated deployment and experience with configuration management platforms (e.g. Chef, Puppet, Salt, or Ansible)Extensive experience building backend and frontend components in the cloud
