JOB DESCRIPTIONWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Sub Acute and Dialysis to join our team at our long-term care facility in Baltimore. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent patient care skills, and a passion for working with a diverse patient population.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Sub Acute and Dialysis unitsDirect and delegate the day-to-day tasks and functions of the nursing assistantsAdminister medications and treatments as prescribed by physiciansAssist with DME (Durable Medical Equipment) setup and maintenancePerform basic IV (Intravenous) therapy and monitor patients' responsesProvide wound care and perform dressing changes using aseptic technique, including suturing when necessaryAssist in the management of chronic conditions, such as diabetes and hypertensionMonitor and record patient vital signsAssist with diagnostic tests and proceduresPerform routine rounds to ensure resident care meets expectationsCollaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement patient care plansPerform specimen collection and processing according to established protocolsImplement infection control measures to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staffCollaborate with interdisciplinary teams for discharge planning and coordination of careCoordinate and assist with medical imaging procedures. Utilize EHR/EMR system for documentation and communication

SKILLS:Strong knowledge of medical terminology and basic healthcare proceduresStrong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing principles and practicesExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team membersAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environmentAbility to administer medications accurately and safelyExperience with tube feeding and catheterization proceduresProficiency in using electronic health record systems (e.g. PCC)Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenCompassionate and empathetic approach to caregivingAbility to work effectively in a team environmentExperience in senior care settings is a plus

RN REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Must be a Registered Nurse with a valid and active state licenseBLS/CPR CertificationCOVID-19 VaccinationExperience in a healthcare setting, preferably in long-term care or a similar fieldExperience working with elderly individualsFamiliarity with standards of practice and regulations governing nursing careAbility to lift and move patients as neededStrong communication skillsExcellent physical staminaCaring and empathetic disposition
