This person will have opportunities to independently drive research projects from conception to completion, requiring interaction with multi-disciplinary teams. The incumbent will actively participate in all stages of the development, optimization, and validation of new products. The successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player, be able to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team, and possess excellent organization skills. A minimum of two-year biological/biomedical lab experience is required. The work requires routinely handling small animals and biological samples from animals and human donors. Prior experience in tissue culture, flow cytometry, immunoassays (eg ELISA, Immunofluorescence, immunohistochemistry, Western Blotting), molecular biology techniques, data analysis, and project management are preferred.Essential Functions

Handle small animals, collect blood or tissue samples, prepare single cell suspensionsHandle human specimen such as blood, isolate PBMC and subpopulations from human bloodMaintain cultures of mammalian cell linesDevelopment and optimization of assays aimed at cell analysis, including immunofluorescence staining, immunohistochemistry (IHC) with flow cytometry and microscope.Identify and implement new assay technologies that have an impact on assay throughput and/or performancePrepare detailed SOPs that enable transfer of validated assays to project teamsMaintain clear and accurate documentation following company policies and ISO requirementsPlan and track multiple projects simultaneously; pro-actively complete assigned tasksMaintain facilities, lab equipment, and supplies as neededMinimum Qualifications – Education And Experience

PhD Degree in a Life Sciences related areaHands-on experience working in a lab environmentExperience with primary cell preparation, tissue section, cell culture, immunofluorescence stainingExperience with flow cytometry and microscopyPreferred Qualifications – Education And Experience

Working experience with immunofluorescence microscopy or immunohistochemistryPrior industry working experiencePrior experience in project managementThe base salary range for this full-time position is $90,000-$100,000/year. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The base pay actually offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company.
