Join us today!This position is located at the Hogan Regional Center in Danvers, MA.The Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates for a full-time Psychologist IV position at Hogan Regional Center. As a Licensed Psychologist, you will provide clinical oversight for all psychology services provided at the Hogan Regional Center. This will be accomplished through providing direct clinical services, indirect services, providing clinical supervision to all psychological assistants, and ensuring that all psychology services are provided in accordance with all applicable DDS and Federal Title XIX regulations. The Psychologist IV will also review and make clinical recommendations for all referrals entering the Hogan Regional Center.Duties and Responsibilities

(these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):Ensure that their assigned caseload and the Hogan Regional Center in general, is well positioned to exceed in all Department of Public Health or Federal Health and Human Services audits or any other internal or external review of psychological services.Coordinates and oversees the Medication Review Committees for their assigned caseload at Hogan Regional Center while maintaining effective working relationships with the consulting psychiatrists both internally and externally.Works with assigned psychology staff and the Regional Legal Team to ensure that Roger’s Affidavits are in place when needed. Further, that all legal paperwork is current, court reviews are requested and conducted according to all statutory requirements, and further, that any treatment provided pursuant to such an order is well documented and timely.In conjunction with the Facility Director, the Psychologist IV will support policy development initiatives that are consistent with all established regulations and which support best practices.Will assist in the clinical supervision of all Psychological Assistants assigned to the Hogan Regional Center, which includes completing all agency and Hogan Regional Center approved performance appraisal systems. Will conduct individual strength-based supervision with all subordinate staff at least once per month (or more based on staff development needs).Reviews and approves all psychology services, including clinical assessments, psychological treatment plans and therapy, and staff training in psychology techniques through demonstration, direct observations, program implementation at day treatment programs and residence milieu via meetings with direct care staff.Provides training to all staff in the principles of psychological services; helps to ensure compliance with Coordinated Treatment Plans.Serves as a member of the Regional Peer Review Committee.Serves as a member of the Regional PBS initiative.Serves as the chairperson for all PBS related initiatives for the Hogan Regional Center.Advises the Hogan Regional Center Administration on issues affecting the psychological wellbeing of individuals.Qualifications Required at Hire:Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of psychological assessments.Knowledge of the theory, principles, and practices of behavioral interventions (behavioral modification; behavioral management).Knowledge of clinical disorders, including psychiatric problems (DSM V and future revisions), personality disorders, and emotional problems.Ability to provide crisis intervention when individuals are at risk.Ability to provide clinical consultation to a range of Facility and community personnel including to constructively communicate recommendations to multi-level staff.Ability to collect and analyze clinical data and maintain comprehensive clinical records.Ability to supervise psychology assistants of lower classifications.Ability to provide training to all levels of professional and direct care staff.Ability to manage and motivate staff effectively.An in-depth knowledge of Positive Behavioral Supports and Trauma Informed Care.Ability to function in a complex and changing regulatory environment.Ability to effectively work as a member of a team in a complex facility and community setting.To apply:Please upload both your Resume and Cover Letter.About the Department of Developmental Services:The mission of the Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is to create innovative and genuine opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities including Autism Spectrum Disorder to participate fully and contribute meaningfully to their communities as valued members. Applicants must also have at least three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience as a Licensed Psychologist in the application of psychological principles and techniques in a recognized agency providing psychological services or treatment, of which at least one year must have included supervision over Post-doctoral Psychologists-in-training and/or Psychological Assistants.Special Requirements:Current and valid registration as a Psychologist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Psychology. Based on assignment, must meet the eligibility requirements for Designated Forensic Psychologist in 104 CMR 33.04(3)(b). Based on assignment, travel may be required.
