This role consists of 35 hours per week. Candidates should have solid experience and skills with digital multimedia and video production and technology. As part of our team, you will be involved in all aspects of multimedia production, from pre-to-post. You will have active involvement in the development, shooting, and editing of video content as well as presentations, digital asset management, interactive marketing campaigns, and other projects driving our public profile and brand awareness growth. You will assist in identifying opportunities and translating PR objectives into tangible media assets. This is a hands-on, creative solutions team in a fast-paced environment, focused on quality and outcomes. This role will report to the Senior Director of Multimedia.Responsibilities:Strong focus on post production. Will be responsible for capturing, logging and editing footage and using non-linear editing systems to create edits in support of the University’s strategic marketing and communications goals and social channels.Serve as camera production assistant during shoots. Help set-up and break-down lights, cameras and audio equipment. Deploy and operate audio recording equipment. Must be able to lift and move equipment cases.Process and log all media assets, including digital photography, video, graphics, audio, and web based production projects.Inventory, track, manage and maintain production equipment – cameras, lights, audio, etc.Maintain detailed checklists to ensure all equipment is accounted for before and after shoots.Promote and support design consistency in line with brand guides and help the university to achieve strategic and overall PR objectives.Continually research and identify best practices / advances where feasible. Identify ways to make us more efficient and improve the quality of generated content.Collaborate with and support the Social Media team in the creation of brief micro-segments for Social Media platforms.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in a communications/multimedia related area of study.1-3 years of production experience.Demo reel highlighting your work.Candidate must have strong DSLR video production and editing skills as well as facility with the required hardware/equipment. Should be proficient in Premier, Adobe CS, After Effects, etc.Highly organized and dependable; able to multitask, work quickly and meet multiple deadlines.Detail-oriented, resourceful and excellent follow-through.Able to work independently as well as collaboratively with all levels of the organization.Superb work ethic with a passion for excellence and innovation.Advanced verbal and written communication skills.Department:
