Req.) DescriptionOur client, a leading brand in the consumer goods (CPG) industry, is seeking a Controller to join their team in Huntington Beach, California. This role offers significant long-term growth potential, and our client is open to hiring either an Assistant Controller or Controller, depending on your experience level. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead a team of 12, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while playing a critical role in strategic planning, financial analysis, and budgeting. The ideal candidate is a motivational leader and self-starter with a solid background in accounting, including manufacturing or consumer goods (CPG). To excel in this role, you must have a solid understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls, along with a keen attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and unwavering integrity. Req.) Responsibilities•

Oversee accurate and timely financial statement preparation in line with GAAP•

Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes•

Lead the development of budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans•

Oversee AR, AP, order processing, and material management operations related to accounting•

Mentor and manage 12 team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement•

Provide variance analysis and collaborate with departments to align financial goals•

Develop and maintain internal control systems to safeguard assets•

Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations•

Oversee cash flow management, banking relationships, and debt facilities•

Coordinate internal and external audits•

Streamline financial processes and workflows to improve productivity and reduce costs•

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policiesController/Assistant Controller (Manufacturing Exp. Req.) Qualifications•

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required•

7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including team management is required•

Manufacturing or CPG experience is required•

Strong knowledge of closing processes, GAAP, reporting, & internal controls is required•

ERP experience is required•

Ability to work 100% on-site is required
