Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an
Associate Software Engineer (T01)
or
Software Engineer (T02)
to join our team!
This position will primarily be located at the SIGINT Technology Center's (STC) in Chantilly supporting the Alchemy Program team. The STC is comprised of multiple mission-focused programs with projects ranging from Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) SIGINT payload and data link development to OCONUS/CONUS mission/maintenance support.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develop software based on evolving mission needs and schedule milestones.
Work with software lead to design, build and maintain mission critical systems.
Implement software test objectives and success criteria for software tests and demonstrations.
Support technical documentation in accordance with company/customer procedures.
Apply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools using Agile development methodology.
Responsibilities include design, embedded software development, software and hardware system integration, troubleshooting, and production activities.
Support development of software requirements and detailed integration software test plans.
Execution of software qualification and acceptance testing per those requirements.
Participate in technical exchange meetings and interfacing with customers.
Will need to be at the Chantilly office 2 to 3 days a week.
Basic Qualifications:
Software Engineer (T01): 0 Years with Bachelors in Science.
Software Engineer (T02): 2 Years with Bachelors in Science; 0 Years with Masters.
Ability and willingness to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.
Experience across entire software development lifecycle.
C/C++ and Java Development Experience.
Scripting experience (i.e. Python, Bash, etc.).
Unix/Linux Operating System experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
An active US DoD TS/SCI and the ability to get Special Program Access.
Experience with deriving software requirements.
Networking protocols: TCP/IP, IPv4, UDP.
Experience briefing technical material to customers.
Knowledge of modern wireless communication systems.
Knowledge of RF system components & functions.
Experience with Software Defined Radios, IQ data processing.
Hardware integration experience.
Experience with CM tools including Git and Atlassian tool suite.
Experience with Docker containerization.
Experience with integrating and testing embedded software.
Salary Range:
$72,100 - $108,100
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, and paid time off (PTO).
