We are seeking a Telecom System Engineer with a background in 4G/5G Core troubleshooting, Certificate Managing, Vulnerability Management, Server Security Patching as well as Automate the security tools installation with Ansible. You will join a small, highly skilled MIW team that is streamlining security policies and processes in order to drive efficiencies and offload routine, repetitive security-related tasks from our client’s architects and engineers.If you are interested in expanding your security skills and thriving in a high-pressure, dynamic environment, this could be the position for you.Please Note :

This role is a remote, W2 opportunity with MIW to work directly with one of our premier Telecom clients.

Requirements

This role will act as the technical interface between our client’s network platform teams and MIW’s security resources. You will be responsible for periodically assessing/auditing the security of network platforms and taking corrective actions for any security issues discovered. You will closely work with both client platform teams and their equipment vendors in order to ensure compliance with the client’s security policies and processes.Work closely with the client’s platform and security teams to continuously improve network security.Review changes to security requirements and develop a detailed understanding of the impact on the client.Develop a deep understanding of client’s platforms and roadmaps and assess the same relative to the overall security.Proactively identify any technical features that may raise a security issue.Become part of the client platform team’s inner circle.Collaborate with MIW security teams to ensure an understanding of client’s requirements, plans, and challenges.Ensure client’s requests are submitted correctly to the team, resolve any security issues, track issue status, and keep the client updated.Recording and/or tracking security issues using the client’s security compliance tools.Act as 1st escalation point for clients for security matters.Education and Experience

2+ years interacting directly with client technical managers and technical SMEs.Detailed end-to-end call flow knowledge of basic services, such as voice calls and messaging, in 4G and 5G networks.Knowledge and experience with troubleshooting support tools such as Wireshark and other protocol analyzers and with

4G and/or 5G devices.End-to-end architectural knowledge of modern wireless carrier networks, including components, component behavior, and component interfaces.Must have 2-3 years experience in Ansible scripting Language and Unix/Linux, including shell scripting.Working Experience with Azure, Jira, Github, scripting, python, and data structures (JSON).Extensive Kubernetes/kubectl knowledge.Experience with automation tools (Ansible preferred, Terraform, AzureDevops nice to have).Strong Linux experience, able to work with and perform VM monitoring tasks.Experience with security logging reviews and creating MOPs (Methods of Procedures) for operations.Must have strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and take ownership of the deliverables and accountability.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Good cross-functional and team collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in a team environment.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive, with strong technical skills.Experience managing client expectations.Highly Preferred Skills

Security certifications.2-3 years of experience with security audit tools, vulnerability scanning tools, equipment Inventory systems, and Common Security Platforms.Telecommunications product/service development.Lab and/or production network testing of telecommunications products/services.

$80,000 - $90,000 a year
